About us

“The strength of a nation lies in the virtue of its people. Our duty is to protect the pillars that hold our country together.”

General Arthit Kamlang-ek

“Education is not only about knowledge. It is about building character, values, and a deep love for our heritage.”

Phornsan Kamlang-ek

The Gen. Arthit & Phornsan Kamlang-ek Foundation was founded over 30 years ago to strengthen Thailand’s Three Pillars:

  1. Thai Nation: We inspire patriotism and responsibility through education, leadership programs, and national service initiatives.
  2. Thai Buddhism: We support monasteries, ordinations, and global outreach to keep the Dhamma alive in modern times.
  3. Thai Monarchy: We honor the monarchy by participating in royal ceremonies, preserving traditions, and educating the public on its historical importance.

What began as support for Wat Mahan, Thailand’s first private Buddhist school, has now grown into global initiatives—bringing Thai values to the world through education, mindfulness, and cultural exchange.

General Arthit–Phornsan Kamlang-ek Foundation

The General Arthit–Phornsan Kamlang-ek Foundation was established on June 23, 1995, by General Arthit Kamlang-ek, former Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army (1982–1986) and Supreme Commander of the Royal Thai Armed Forces (1983–1986). A man of unwavering dedication to the ideals of Nation, Religion, and Monarchy, he served as the Foundation’s President alongside his wife, Mrs. Phornsan Kamlang-ek (Phornprapha), daughter of Dr. Thaworn and Dr. Usa Phornprapha, who then held the position of Vice President of the Foundation.

Today, Mrs. Phornsan Kamlang-ek has succeeded as President of the Foundation, continuing the founders’ noble mission with steadfast commitment. She is joined by their son, Venerable Praputt Buddhibalo, who serves as Secretary of the Foundation, overseeing religious-related initiatives.
